As podcasting’s popularity continues to increase, it’s worth as a promotional tool, especially for emerging performers continues to increase. Creating a podcast is easy, and with podcasting’s growing popularity comes growing competition into the podcasting market for businesses wishing to offer you with their podcasting services.

Podcasting itself is a surprisingly easy concept, and consists of only a few steps:

You start by recording your show or song and then convert it digitally into an MP3, or WMA file. Your bit rate for music should be of high quality so set it at least 128k or better. There are also many quality computer programs available for audio editing, for the addition of sound effects, verbal commentary, volume control, and more.

After creating your audio file you then upload your podcast to a Web hosting or file hosting service.

Next you must create a syndication feed ( again and again called RSS) which is essentially a description of your content and a link that points to the content. Your description ought to be kept as precise and enticing as possible, you’re selling yourself here to a lot of possible listeners, and the majority people will read this before ever deciding whether or not to download your content. There are a lot of free services available for creating your RSS feed; the majority notably there is FeedBurner.com.

These are the two standard steps to creating a podcast; they’re quick and simple. Once you have created your content and your feed you’re free to give out your feed over the Internet.

For up and coming performers podcasting is both an cheap and easy promotional tool; for those who are not truly do-it-yourself tech-savvy types there are a few free all-inclusive podcasting services, which are often support ed by cut-in advertising, and there are many other wonderful low-cost choices available which are often advertisement free. Not only is podcasting easy and cheap, but it is furthermore a wonderful tool to be able to reach niche markets, which is specifically valuable for new independent performers and bands. nothing is more necessary to aspiring performers and performers than to get your name and sound out there to your new listeners.

The the majority vital part of promoting your podcast is to make sure that you get yourself listed in as a lot of Web sites that are dedicated podcast directories or portals. Podcast directories and portals provide you with lots of targeted Internet exposure. It’s virtually impossible for an individual to find you during a Internet search, but by listing your podcast in one of the a lot of podcast directories/portals, you’re ensuring that your fans will be more effortlessly able to find you.

Although it seems counter-productive to give away music for free, podcasting is an vital and invaluable tool for musicians to get out name, and sound, recognition. With a Web audiences ever hungry for music entertainment, reaching out to your niche audiences has never been easier.

You do not have to live in Kentucky to hear Bluegrass music. There may be festivals and such in numerous places around the country, but for the music lover, they want to hear the music that they love all of the time. There’s just something so happy about Bluegrass music and it holds on to some of the roots that many of us have in this country. It’s a true form of music that has existed for hundreds of years and continues to bring joy to individuals all of the time. That’s why many look for Bluegrass music Web in order to get their fix.
As stated before, Bluegrass music does not necessarily turn up just anywhere. There are festivals and the such in the Appalachian Mountains and the surrounding foothills where individuals may come together and share their love of Bluegrass. Other than that there is not much else. The radio does not even performance that much Bluegrass, so an individual has to take matters into their personal hands. This a number of times means buying Bluegrass music Web so it may be played whenever.
There are a number of websites that sell all categories of music Web. This may be through websites that sell CDs or those websites that allow music downloads. For those who wish to build their collection, they may choose to go with the CD because they may take them anywhere.

I enjoy downloading music to my PC and portable digital music player. In fact, I cannot remember the final time I was at a music store. I am a convert. I prefer listening to music samples on the Internet and buying only the tunes that I want and not wanting to buy an entire disc where I may like only several song tracks. This is the reason why iPods from Apple PC Inc. (AAPL) have grown exponentially in popularity to the current cult status. A friend of mine received a 30GB iPod for Christmas and trust me you have never seen a person so excited.
A 30GB iPod may hold up to 7,500 CD quality tunes. That’s impressive. Apple is a trendsetter in my estimation. From its MAC to the iPod, CEO Steve Jobs has a keen knack for trends. These portable music devices have so much memory because he could expects a massive shift to CD burning and downloadable music. Apple’s iTunes Music Store is booming.
Just final week, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry released its research into the digital music industry and the determinations were not a surprise. Just like how Web DVD movies have dominated the video rental market, dominated by Netflix Inc. (NFLX), and pushing incumbent Blockbuster Inc. (BBI) to the sidelines, the exponential growth of the Web music business has been on an explosive upward path.
According to the research, sales of digital music world expansive better by over 300 percent in 2005 to $1.1 billion. The research said digital music accounts for about 6 percent of total music sales, up from decidedly little two years back.
The competition in the industry is fierce and expected to ramp up going forward. This may guide to consolidation in the industry down the road and result in lower prices. all of us may see the bigger and more established players taking out the smaller up and comers.
Besides Apple, there are a slew of Web music website s. Probably the the majority well known is Napster Inc. (NAPS). Napster reported it has over 500,000 subscribers but has yet to turn a profit and is not expected for the time being. But the company has minimal debt and a whopping $128 million or $2.91 per share in cash. Given that the current share price is 3.08, this implies you are paying a mere $0.17 for the company’s asset and potential. This is pretty nice and enticing for speculators, but then Napster must deliver profits. Napster may be the dark horse in the digital music business.

The Internet is fast developing into the place to do everything, whether it is buying products on websites such as eBay, looking for information on Web encyclopaedias like Wikipedia, or meeting new individuals on websites such as My Space . But as more websites are introduced, individuals have more and more to choose from and their patience gets shorter and shorter.
When the world expansive Web started it was an art to find the information you were looking for. You would spend hours digging through pages on websites trying to find the information you want, but them days are long gone. The back button is now the the majority used button on browsers because if individuals see a website that cannot show them straight away what they are looking for then they will go back out to Google , Yahoo or MSN and find a website that will.
The key is to have an appealing landing page that really grabs attention. Keep your content catchy and to the point. individuals are not interested in reading pages upon pages of detail.
The Internet is seen by many individuals as the place to go to get a bargain. There are less overhead costs than buying from a company who have to rent out a department store or pay lots of staff to sit by the phones, process orders etc. So consumers rightly expect these lower costs to transcend down to the sell price of items. Would you now consider booking flights on the phone? The answer for the majority of individuals is no!
So as more and more individuals migrate from phone and fax ordering to Web ordering, the more businesses invest in eCommerce. The result is an increasingly competitive market, so as well as thinking about SEO, Web designers ought to be asking themselves do I have content appealing enough to avoid the back button?

Let’s imagine what type of gadgets enable you to enjoy music everywhere you go, with which you would like to take the warm sunshine following noon while not getting burned eyes, or a fashion accessory that you may tout in front of all your friends? MP3 sunglasses is the one.
A typical mp3 sunglasses is in a distinctive form of half-frame with relatively sturdy and long arms. With middle-sized lens and ear piece neatly hanged at the end of each arm, it is suitable and fashionable for individuals of all ages. Isn’t it cool to wear a pair while sitting by a swimming poor and listening to all your favorite music?
like the majority sunglasses, it protects your eyes from the hurt of UV rays. Ultraviolet (UV) rays are located just past the violet portion of the visible light spectrum; sunlight is the central source. UV rays are dangerous, making sunglasses and sunscreen required ; they do not go through glass. With so many lens colors available in the marketplace, buyer must get himself carefully informed before picking one to suit his needs and conditions perfect. Gray lens tints lower brightness, but do not distort color. Brown and amber tints lower glare, including the glare created by the blue frequency in sunlight, which may make things appear hazy. Brown and amber tints distort colors more than gray tints do. Yellow lens tints lower the haze from blue light better than browns, so they really sharpen up the view, but they cause more color distortion. Green tinted lenses lower glare and endorse filter out some of the blue light. They offer nice contrast amidst objects. Rose colored lenses may be a nice choice if you participate in water sports or other outdoor activities, because they offer nice contrast for objects viewed against blue or green backgrounds.
As mp3 player, mp3 sunglasses is quite portable and innovative. Not every one like carrying an ipod all around, but I think there are many individuals willing to wear glasses all the time. Not just because it is cool, it is the convenience of music access. Whenever you want some music, there is only one button away. It’s amazing that it plays music well, if not excellent, with all the necessary components narrowly packed in the glasses arms. It guides mp3,wav,wma and other music formats depending on manufacturer differences. One may choose any formats as the central format or use all of them. With the interior memory of 2GB or around , that means hundreds of music, it is not decidedly satisfying to those music enthusiasts. And the whole performance back time is merely several hours.
Good to know that it has FM radio tuner. If you are tired of listening music, you may switch to the radio programs on the air. The latest mp3 sunglasses also equips Bluetooth, which promote the portability and music sound. That means you may performance music from your cell and stream them to the glasses.
As a mixture of music player and fashion accessory, mp3 sunglasses will definitely become the next hottest seek- following in the digital market.

And What You may Do About It
As I clicked on a popular music business forum, I was greeted with a question. “Why won’t commercial radio performance music by Independent artist s?”
My reply to this person was as follows:
“As a former Operations Manager and Music Director on both the Comm and Non-Comm sides, Let me break the reason down for you.
Commercial Radio needs ratings to get paid from advertisers. Most advertiser’s, on radio, are ad agencies. Ad agencies base their “buys” (sponsorships) on a cost per point (”CPP”) basis. CPP is based on how many thousands of fans a radio station may capture in a 15 minute period (or cume).
many commercial radio [Program and Music] do not want to put thier ratings at risk, by airing an ‘untested song’ on the air. So what these commercial radio directors do, is, air music based on the national charts offer d by Radio and Records, Broadcast Data Systems (BDS) and Billboard.
These charts are mainly influenced by the major labels via promotions and strategic alliances.
Your perfect perfect is to do like Knarles Barkley. Knarles Barkleys’ single “Crazy” went #1 on the Internet and radio may n’t endorse but to get them the single on the air.
Get your music on music submission website s, make some noise on the Internet, and get a CD Baby.com account so you may get your music on iTunes and start promoting.”
I suggested this because the music business is going digital. Clear Channel has a partnership with GarageBand.com where they will feature a certain amount of new artists every week in on their website. Since Clear Channel is the biggest and the majority innovative expansive caster in the music business, it is just a matter of time before the other cowardly copy-cat expansive casters will follow suit.
The world is going digital, while radio continutes to operate using an analog business model. You may be successful in the music business if you vary your marketing model from analog to digital.

Music is an illusive and hard to define phenomenon. It’s more than just a bunch of sounds strung together, it is a magic that draws out our emotions and produces a feeling in our hearts. The rousing thing is that one person ’s music, is another person ’s compilation of random noises. The truth is no type of music is better than another type.
Let’s say you are a high-brow lover of classical music (OK, that may be a stretch, but performance along – you may learn something). You are really into your Bach and Chopin, but you may not appreciate heavy metal or hip hop. To you they may be empty random sounds devoid of meaning. To you the beauty of classical music seems obvious – not like that other stuff.
Still, the young urban kid feels the same way about their hip hop. To them hip hop is real and relevant. The lyrics are not just words, they convey a meaning that speaks to their fears, plights, and dreams. The music touches them in a individual way – a way that little else in their daily life can.
The fact is that music is an emotional experience that reflects the type of person that all of us are. What draws us to a certain genre or musical style is in essence the desire for understanding and acceptance. Each of us is a hand in search the glove that will make us feel the emotional guide that all of us need inside.
For one person they may need to feel normal and understood. They will like ly search out music that fills this void. They will appreciate lyrics that are a reflection of their lives and choice s. For another, they may find music that makes them feel inspired. Some are drawn to love tunes, while others to the blues.
Each of us needs to feel connected in life, and that’s more necessary today than in any time in the past. Our society moves so fast, and the stability of family members and community of yesteryear may not be present in our lives today. Each of us is searching for that musical soul mate that will make us feel completed.
Music is individual. The type of music all of us appreciate does not depend on the music itself, but how the music fits us as individuals. No one type of music is better than another. Each is a unique individual experience that will touch some individuals in a way that makes them feel whole. All categories of music are valid. You may or may not appreciate a style – in fact, you may be bored by it or even offended. But you may not dismiss any type of music. Each represents a voice which must be heard in our society.
Since no type of music is better than another, that ultimate ly means that no song is better than another, and thus no artist or singer is better than another. Each musician has something to bring to the table, an individual perspective that’s diverse than anyone else’s. Sure all of us all have our preferences, and a specific singer may have better projection or be able to hit a note better. But those are technical elements. Music is an emotional response to a variety of acoustic elements. It’s not about how a song sounds, it is about how you hear it, it is about how it fits you.
Do not be narrow in your appreciation of music. Search far and expansive for tunes that speak to you. Listen to the lyrics, feel the rhythm, let the music envelope you. Music may create understanding across cultural barriers. Stretch beyond your comfort zone. Listen to artists and styles that may seem foreign to you. You may just find a glove that fits your hand better than you ever imagined.

Mark this on your calendar for New Years Eve, December 31st, JJ Grey and Mofro are confirmed for a traditional SyncLive.com New Years Bash at Freebird Live. Freebird is located at 200 North 1st Street, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, and you can get tickets for the epic performance by going on http://www.freebirdlive.com or by calling the box office at (904) 246-2473.

I don’t know if you are familiar with JJ Grey and Mofro (www.mofro.net), but they are one of the best live bands out there today. “Grey and Mofro fuse rock with plenty of soul and groove-heavy blues, and dirty, infectious funk. The deep and introspective lyrics are a breath of fresh air.” –Relix Like Florida’s state flower, the orange blossom, musician JJ Grey’s songs are fascinating, beautiful, and complex. Both are products of the same ground: the rich, fertile and ancient soil of the Sunshine State. Born and raised just outside of Jacksonville, Florida, Grey comes from a long tradition of Southern musical storytellers and, like the best of the great Southern writers, he fills his songs with details that are at once vivid and personal, political and universal. His multi-textured music overflows with dynamic rhythms and thought-provoking lyrics. From raw funk to deep soul, blues and rock, JJ and his band Mofro deliver devastating live and recorded performances. Debuting in 2001 with BLACKWATER, following up in 2004 with LOCHLOOSA (both albums reissued by Alligator in 2007), Grey steadily built an intensely loyal following. In 2007, with his first Alligator release, COUNTRY GHETTO, Grey reached an even larger audience, doubling both his album sales and his concert attendance. Now, with his new album, ORANGE BLOSSOMS, JJ Grey takes another giant step forward.

They will be webcasting their show exclusively on New Year’s Eve. If you are not in the Jacksonville area and can’t make it to the Freebird, make sure to tune in for the live performance on www.SyncLive.com.
