Live Music Blog Instructions for Vince

Live Music Blog Instructions:

Login to the site using the appropriate link – example follows:

Link: http://live-music-blog.com/
Username: admin
Password: ddei55bt

Select the “Write” option in the upper left hand part of the page

Write page includes the following sections to complete:
- Title
- Post
- Tags
- Categories
- All in One SEO
- Publish Status

The following will elaborate on the above mentioned sections

Title – First words will be the primary keyword phrase for the article.  Example – “Live Music: The Power of Passion”

Post – WYSIWYG text editor is used to add the body of the article.  Some things to point out about this section.

  • To add a 2nd row of buttons on the text editor (recommended) you’ll need to click the “show/hide the kitchen sink” bottom.
  • I prefer that the blog name OR primary keyword phrase be the first words of each article.  Example: Live Music Blog – Music is said to be the food of the soul. There is nothing more persuasive and pleasing…
  • BOLD the above mentioned leading phrase – not the whole sentence, just the blog name or the keyword phrase
  • You can switch to HTML, if needed by selecting the tab in the upper right hand corner of the WYSIWYG / text editor
  • NOTE: THE ARTICLES MUST BE FORMATTED TO DISPLAY CORRECTLY AND LOOK GOOD WHEN VIEWED ON THE BLOG – THIS GENERALLY REQUIRES A BIT OF CLEAN UP WITH EACH ARTICLE.

Tags – Keyword phrases for the article.  You’ll always include the blog title and variations.  Example: Live Music Blog, Live Music, Music Blog

Categories – Similar to the above, mainly a judgment call.  I don’t want a thousand categories – just a few overall categories for each site.

All in One SEO – Sections explained below:

  • Title = same as the one used above
  • Description = First sentence or two of the article, trying to keep the total number of characters under 200
  • Keywords = same as the “TAGS” added earlier, with the possibility of a few more being added – if relevant (judgment call on your part).

Publish Status – Select the “EDIT” option next to the words “Publish Immediately”

  • Articles must be set to post at a rate of one per day.  Just use the calendar option to set the date.
  • Be certain to hit “Publish” not save.
